Step 4 Create a written plan   Record what you need to work on, how you are going to work on it, and develop a reasonable timeline to complete  these goals.  Make sure you do not try and go it alone.  All great athletes have coaches or training partners and you  should be no different in this.  If you want to get in shape, have a friend go along with you and establish a set  routine each week. If you know someone else is counting on you to show up, you are going to be far less likely to  make an excuse and take the day off.   If you are anxious around others, find a hobby or activity that will put you  in a position to perform in front of other people from time to time.  Whatever there is that you do not like about  yourself, there really is a way to correct or manage it.  You just have to be open to looking for a solution. Find the  information and support you need to craft an effective plan, and then follow through with it.
